The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) advises that the St George’s Cay Power Company (SGCPC) Renewable Energy Plan (REP) is open for public consultation as of 15 August 2025.
This consultation provides stakeholders, consumers, and members of the public with the opportunity to review and comment on SGCPC’s proposals for renewable energy integration and development within its licensed service area. Your feedback will help guide regulatory decisions that shape the future of sustainable energy in The Bahamas.
Consultation Period
The consultation will remain open for responses until 5:00 p.m. on 07 November 2025.

Responses should be submitted by email to the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority at info@urcabahamas.bs.
All submissions should clearly reference URCA Document Reference: ES02/2025 SGCPC REP PDDO in the subject line and in the document.
URCA encourages all interested parties to participate in this process to ensure that the final plan reflects a broad range of perspectives and is in the best interest of consumers and the energy sector.
