URCA is inviting public comments on a proposed change in control involving Baker’s Bay Utility Ltd. (BBUL), the holder of an Authorized Public Electricity Supplier Licence for Baker’s Bay in Great Guana Cay, Abaco. The proposed transaction would result in the members of Baker’s Bay Golf and Ocean Club acquiring 100% ownership and control of BBUL.

In accordance with the Electricity Act, 2024, URCA will assess whether the proposed transaction is likely to substantially lessen competition in The Bahamas or be contrary to the public interest before making its determination. Interested persons are invited to submit written representations by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 10 August 2026.
