URCA is seeking public comments on a proposed change in control involving Baker’s Bay Utility Ltd. (BBUL), the holder of Liquefied Natural Gas Importer and LNG Terminal Operator licences for Baker’s Bay in Great Guana Cay, Abaco. The proposed transaction would result in the members of Baker’s Bay Golf and Ocean Club acquiring 100% ownership and control of BBUL.

Under the Natural Gas Act, 2024, URCA must determine whether the proposed change in control is likely to substantially lessen competition in The Bahamas or be contrary to the public interest. Interested persons are invited to submit written representations by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 10 August 2026.
