The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) invites suitably qualified consultants to submit proposals to assess the need for economic regulation of the natural gas sector in The Bahamas.

The selected consultant will assess the Bahamian natural gas market and recommend which activities, if any, should be subject to economic regulation, when regulation should apply and what form it should take. The consultancy will also develop a phased roadmap to guide URCA’s oversight as the sector develops.

Proposals must be submitted to procurement@urcabahamas.bs by 5:00 p.m. (Bahamas time) on Tuesday, 1 December 2026. Technical and financial proposals must be submitted as separate files.
