Disaster Management Regulations for the Electronic Communications Sector in The Bahamas

 (ECS 12/2020)

The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) published a Second Consultation Document under the caption Disaster Management Regulations for the Electronic Communications Sector in The Bahamas on 28 August 2020.  In that Public Consultation Document, URCA encouraged interested parties to make written submissions on the consultation by 5 p.m. on 30 September 2020.  However, in the Press Release issued on 28 August URCA asked interested parties to make written submissions on the consultation by 5 p.m. on 30 October 2020.  URCA hereby confirms that the Response Date has been extended to 5 p.m. on 30 October 2020.   

As previously stated, written responses or comments on this Consultation Document should be sent to URCA’s Director of Electronic Communications, either:

  • By hand, to URCA’s office at Frederick House, Frederick Street, Nassau; or
  • By mail to P.O. Box N-4860, Nassau, Bahamas; or
  • By fax, to (242) 393-0153; or
  • By email, to info@urcabahamas.bs.
