URCA has published its third and final consultation document on the proposed 5G regulatory framework for The Bahamas (ECS 01/2026). The document sets out URCA’s proposed approach for introducing and rolling out 5G services, including proposals on spectrum to be made available, spectrum assignment and pricing, rollout and coverage requirements, quality of service standards, infrastructure resilience and backup power, and network security. Stakeholders and interested persons are invited to submit written comments by 8 April 2026 to the Director of Electronic Communications at info@urcabahamas.bs. After reviewing submissions, URCA will publish a Statement of Results and Final Decision.
