Extension for Submission of Responses to Technical Standards Framework for FM Radio Broadcasting
The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (“URCA”) issues this Notice in accordance with section 8(1)(e) of the Communications Act, 2009. On December 22, 2015, URCA issued its Public Consultation Document – Technical Standards Framework for FM Radio Broadcasting in The Bahamas [ECS 07/2015] requesting responses to be submitted to URCA on or before February 12, 2016. URCA has received comments from key industry stakeholders indicating that additional time to formulate responses to the issues and questions involved in the Consultation is needed. URCA Releases 2016 Fee Schedule
The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) has today published its fee schedule for fees relating to the period from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 (ECS 02/2016), revising the previous schedule which was published on January 29, 2015. The new schedule introduces the changes to Standard Spectrum Fees established in URCA’s Final Decision and Statement of Results in its “Review of Radio Frequency Spectrum Pricing” document (ECS 01/2016), which was published on January 28, 2016.
