On January 28, 2016 URCA became the regulator of the Electricity Sector (ES) in The Bahamas. The new sector was added to URCA’s responsibilities with the passing of the Electricity Act 2015 (EA) and the URCA (Amendment) Act 2015 on December 31, 2015. Subsequently, URCA is strengthening its capacity and is seeking to employ a suitably qualified individual to fill the post of Director of Utilities and Energy with the requisite competencies and experience to oversee the Utilities and Energy department.
