Call Termination Price Control Response Deadline Extended
The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) has extended the deadline to respond to its Preliminary Determination on "Wholesale Fixed Call Termination Price Control for SMP Licensees" (URCA document reference ECS 01/2014). The deadline has been revised from April 8, 2014 to April 30, 2014.
Consumer Protection Booklet Released
URCA today published a Consumer Protection Booklet, which outlines the Consumer Protection Regulations for the Electronic Communications Sector established December 30, 2013. Publication of the regulations concluded a process which began on June 10, 2013 when URCA released draft regulations for public consultation. Consultation activities included public meetings on the draft regulations in New Providence, Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama and San Salvador; in addition to appearances by URCA representatives in various broadcast media forums.
