ECS 12/2014 Consultation/Final Determination Re Wholesale Fixed Call Termination Price Control -SMP Licensees
The Utilities Regulation and competition Authority (URCA) publishes its Statement of Results and Final Determination on “Wholesale Fixed Call Termination Price Control For Significant Market Power (SMP) Licensees” (ECS 12/2014). The consultation document (ECS 01/2014) which sets out URCA’s preliminary views and proposals on Wholesale Fixed Call termination for SMP Licensees, was released to the public on March 7th 2014. Feedback was received from The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Ltd. (BTC) and Cable Bahamas Limited (CBL) including Caribbean Crossings Ltd and Systems Resources Group Ltd.
This Final Determination is yet another major initiative by URCA as the regulator of the Electronic Communications Sector, to foster fair and sustainable competition amongst licensees.
