URCA 01/2018 Fee Schedule 2018
The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) has today issued its Fee Schedule 2018.
The new Fee Schedule includes fees payable in 2018 related to URCA’s regulation of both the Electronic Communication Sector (ECS) and Electricity Sector (ES). The Fee Schedule established the revised URCA Fee for 2018, which is based on URCA’s draft Budget for 2018 published on 21 December 2017 (URCA 07/2017). Consistent with the decrease in URCA’s budget for 2018 as against 2017, the ECS URCA Fee for 2018 has been set at 0.945% of relevant turnover down from 1.248% in 2017, while the ES URCA Fee is set at 0.4059%, down from 0.4214% in 2017.
Publication of the fee schedule is in accordance with section 8(1)(e) of the Communications Act, 2009. Interested persons may view the schedule on URCA’s website at www.urcabahamas.bs or pick up a copy from URCA’s office in Frederick House on Frederick Street, New Providence.
Invoices will be issued to licensees in the usual manner.
