How To Apply
Application requirements may vary depending on whether the applicant is a company or a sole trader and whether the licence is in the Electricity Sector (ES) or the Electronic Communications Sector (ECS).
Electricity Sector
To help guide you through the application process, URCA ES licensing guidelines are available.
- Prospective applicants seeking to offer any of the respective generation, transmission, distribution and/or supply services in the Electricity Sector should complete the Licence Application Form Numbered ES 4/2018.
- Applicants wishing to apply for a generation license should complete the URCA Generation Licence Application Form
Electronic Communications Sector
To help guide you through the application process, URCA ECS licensing guidelines are available.
- Prospective applicants seeking to establish, maintain and operate a network or provide carriage services should complete, the Licence Application Form Numbered ECS 2/2011.
- Prospective applicants seeking to operate an amateur radio service – reciprocal or local – in The Bahamas should complete, the Licence Application Form Numbered ECS 3/2011.
- Prospective applicants seeking approval for the use of a low power device should complete the Application For Type Approval of A Low Power Device Type Approval Application.
