URCA Issues Number Portability Survey Press Release
The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) has launched a survey inviting public reaction to the introduction of Number Portability in The Bahamas. Number Portability is a service that allows subscribers to keep their existing telephone number(s) even though they might change from one service provider to another.
The survey is a first step in assessing consumer preferences. The survey was conducted over a two week period and has been completed thus far. The results will be a part of a consultation document along with other information and interested parties will be able to contribute information to the consultation when it is published.
