The Utilities and Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) is the independent regulatory authority with responsibility for the electronic communications sector (ECS) and electricity sector (ES) in The Bahamas. In the electricity sector URCA’s primary role is regulation of the sector in accordance with the goals, objectives, and principles underpinning the national energy and electricity sector policies. These policies mandate the use of renewable energy as a form of generation in The Bahamas.
URCA requests proposals for the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and maintenance of a solar canopy system (SCS) at its carpark located on Frederick Street in Nassau, Bahamas.
