In The Bahamas’ electronic communications sector (ECS), licensing is mandatory for entities or individuals intending to establish, maintain, and operate networks or provide carriage services. This requirement also extends to those interested in operating amateur radio services, whether reciprocal or local.
URCA issues two types of licenses: operating licenses and spectrum licenses. These licenses can be granted on an individual or class basis, depending on the specific needs and scope of the operation.
