Deadline Extended for Preliminary Determinations on SMP Responses
URCA published Preliminary Determinations ECS 18/2009 and ECS 19/2009 (the “Preliminary Determinations”) on 30 September, 2009. These Preliminary Determinations set out the types of obligations that in URCA’s view would satisfy the obligations to be imposed on those licensees presumed to have SMP, in accordance with s.116(2) of the Communications Act, 2009 (the “Comms Act”).
Following initial workshops with the SMP operators, and requests for extension of the deadline from one operator, URCA has extended the timetable set out in the Preliminary Determinations, to allow the operators to respond fully and to submit alternative revised proposals.
