URCA CEO and DPR with Island FM’s Patty Roker

This past Sunday September 16th, URCA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mrs. Kathleen Smith and Director of Policy and Regulation (DPR) Mr. Stephen Bereaux were guests on Island FM’s “Parliament Street” with Patty Roker. Smith and Bereaux talked about URCA’s recently launched public consultation concerning Cable Bahamas Limited’s (CBL) application to raise the price of its SuperBasic [REVTV Prime] package; and also expanded the discussion to explain URCA’s role as the regulator of the electronic communications sector. Other URCA consultations and upcoming consumer protection intitatives were also discussed.
